Jill AND Mary

Jillian Shennessy (born on November 25 in 1968) is an Canadian actress, singer who made an impact on American television. Her work has received praise for her stellar performances in the American television show Law & Order in which she as Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, wherein she was Jordan Cavanaugh the main character for six seasons. Hennessy has also showcased her acting skills in films such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also produced and wrote these movies. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988 when she and her sister played twin Callgirls on Dead Ringers. Her Broadway debut was with Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story. Then in RoboCop 3 in 1993 she appeared as Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her big break occurred later that year when she was a part of the cast of the acclaimed NBC crime drama Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. In these roles, she received an Emmy Award in 2006 and a Golden Globe Award in 2006 as well as an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker received the Tony Award 2001 for Best Actress in the Broadway Show Proof.
